We are looking for a senior or mid-level System Engineer to help build out, maintain, and troubleshoot our rapidly expanding infrastructure.
Candidates should be well acquainted with AWS, EC2, S3 and Kubernetes.
The work will comprise the following:
- Responsible for design, implementation and uptime of highly scalable application infrastructure running on AWS.
- Responsible for creation and maintenance of the IaaC framework and managing infrastructure deployment using Terraform.
- Configure the infrastructure to generate relevant metrics for uptime monitoring.
- Configure tools to handle backups and disaster recovery.
- Configure tools to ingest monitoring data, develop alert criteria.
- Configure tools to manage application and infrastructure security.
- Monitor and fine-tune utilization of AWS resources.
- Measurement, optimization, and tuning of system performance and ensuring that systems will run reliably and are highly available in a 24/7 production environment.
- Help debug issues on the platform, finding those non-performant queries, failures, etc.
- Installing, configuring, testing and maintaining linux operating systems, application software and system management tools.
- Management, optimization and securing Postgresql and Mysql databases.
- Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes.
- Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.
- Periodical on-call duty
- Perform internal pen-test.
What we expect from the candidates:
- Comprehensive background in IT and computer systems engineering
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- Prior experience in performing the same role in a SaaS security product company.
- Minimum 10 years of industry experience.
- Building and managing tools that power AWS cloud services.
- Experience with managing large scale multi-tenanted SaaS applications.
- High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and implementation.
- AWS SysOps Administrator or DevOps Engineer Certification. (recommended, not required)
- Outstanding collaboration and communication skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with distributed teams.
- Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Linux based environments
- Solid Cloud experience, preferably in AWS.
